Terms and Conditions - Courses 

1. Subscribe Procedure and Payment

1.1. In order to purchase a course via our website you must register & pay via the website or by BACS to the account on our sample course page or on an invoice issued by us. You can log onto your account using the username and password that you create when revisiting the course.

1.2.  When you place an order for a course you are offering to purchase that course on these Terms. A K Legal Consultancy Services Ltd reserves the right to decline or cancel your order, or any part of your order.

1.3. Following receipt by A K Legal Consultancy Services Ltd of your order for a course via our website, you will receive an email confirming that your order has been received by A K Legal Consultancy Services Ltd. You will be given access to the course on the day the course starts. If you purchase the course after the course start date, you will be given access to the course within 24 hours. 

1.4. A K Legal Consultancy Services Ltd reserves the right to withdraw at any time, courses advertised for sale on the website.

1.5. One purchase is for usage for one person. A K Legal Consultancy Services Ltd will cancel subscriptions to individuals if multiple users are using one course purchase and a refund will not be provided. Thereafter, A K Legal Consultancy Services Ltd reserves the right to take legal action to recover any financial loss suffered or compensation for damage to reputation. 

1.6. Bookings are only secured on receipt of full payment.

2. Confirmation of Subscription 

2.1. For any purchases made through our website, you will receive an automatic notification via email to your registered email address.

2.2. Access to the course may only be accessed on this website.

2.3. The Website and all of the materials contained on or within them are protected by intellectual property rights. Materials and content include, but are not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance, graphics and documents on the Website or in our courses or learning materials, as well as all other content on the Website such as (but not limited to) articles and other text, and other content of courses such as slides. All copyright, trade marks, design rights, patents and other intellectual property rights (registered and unregistered) subsisting in the design of, or materials on or within the Website is either owned by us, licensed to us or we are entitled to use it. All such rights are reserved. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, republish or otherwise make use of the materials on or within the Websites, in our Courses or our learning materials available to anyone else without A K Legal Consultancy Services Ltd’s written permission (including, but not limited to “caching” any material and “mirroring” any material).

2.4. You may print or download materials from the websites for your own personal and non-commercial use provided that:

  • no materials are modified in any way

  • no graphics are used separately from accompanying text

  • our copyright and trademark notices appear in all copies; and

  • you acknowledge the website as the source of the material.

2.5. If you have our written permission to provide these materials to another person, you must ensure that they are made aware of these restrictions (2.4). You may be responsible to A K Legal Consultancy Services Ltd for that person’s non-compliance with these restrictions contained herein.

3. Subscription cancellation

3.1 The course materials may be released on a weekly basis. Despite this, the course commences the day you have your 1:1 Career Planning Session.

3.2. Once a purchase is made for a course and you attend your 1:1 Career Planning Session, you have 24 hours to cancel the course for a refund, less £90.  You can cancel the course at any time before your 1:1 Career Planning Session, for a full refund. 

3.3. You will have access to the Course for 1 year from the date of purchase.You will have access to the Course for 1 year from the date the course starts (date the first topic is uploaded to the Student Portal).

3.4. A K Legal Consultancy Services Ltd reserves the right to suspend your subscription if you are in breach of these Terms, especially clause 2.3.

3.5. If you request access to the course before your 1:1 Career Planning Session, and access is granted, you will no longer have the right to cancel your purchase. 

3.6. A K Legal Consultancy Services Ltd reserves the right to cancel any course and provide the appropriate refund, prior to the course start date.   

4. Advice

 

4.1. This course is designed to complement practical work experience. 

 

4.2. The course is designed for unqualified OISC (now IAA) advisers. Therefore, your supervisor in the regulated firm that you work for or are associated with, must satisfy themselves that any advice or service you provide to clients are accurate.

 

4.3. Any information provided on this course, does not constitute legal advice. Therefore, A K Legal Consultancy Services Ltd will not be responsible for any inaccurate advice given in practice.

 

4.4. Undertaking our course does not qualify you as an OISC (now IAA) Lawyer/adviser or an Immigration lawyer/adviser. You must undertake the relevant regulators processes to qualify. 

 

4.5. All qualified advisers who have access to our materials/courses, must satisfy themselves that they are giving accurate advice to clients. Our materials should not be quoted when giving legal advice.

 

4.6. Our course is secondary to any rules or laws operating in practice.
